Statement of Faith

Our Belief

This is the statement of faith as believed and taught by Give Jesus to the World Ministries, based solely upon the Inspired Holy Scriptures and in total agreement with foundational principles of Christian doctrine.

  1. We believe in the One True God, eternally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit—co-equal and co-eternal. (Eph 4:5-6, Matt 28:19-20, Deut 6:4, 1 John 5:7)
  2. We believe the Bible, consisting of 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God. (2 Tim 3:16, 2 Pet 1:20-21)
  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ—His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection and ascension. (John 1:1-4, Matt 1:18-25, Acts 1:9-11)
  4. We believe the redemptive work of Jesus Christ provides salvation to the body, soul and spirit of all who put their faith in Him. (1 Pet 2:24, Acts 3:16)
  5. We believe man was created in the image of God but fell into sin, bringing spiritual and physical death into the world. (Gen 1:27, Rom 5:12, Rom 3:23)
  6. We believe repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, and regeneration by the Holy Spirit, are essential for salvation. (Luke 24:47, Mark 16:16)
  7. We believe in the ordinances of water baptism by immersion and Holy Communion. (Rom 6:3, Luke 22:19, 1 Cor 11:24-25)
  8. We believe in the infilling of the Holy Spirit with empowerment for Christian living and service, evidenced by spiritual gifts. (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:39, John 7:38-39)
  9. We believe sanctification is an ongoing process of spiritual growth and Christ-like living. (Phil 2:12, John 17:17)
  10. We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, commissioned to preach the gospel with power and compassion. (Matt 28:19-20, Rom 1:16)
  11. We believe in the Blessed Hope—the rapture of the Church and the second coming of Jesus Christ. (1 Thess 4:16, Heb 9:28)
  12. We believe in the final resurrection and eternal destiny of both the saved and the lost. (Rev 20:12-15)
  13. We believe in the New Heavens and New Earth, where believers will dwell with the Lord forever. (2 Pet 3:13, Rev 21:1)
